Exploring the Mechanisms of Action of Collagen Peptides over the Woman’s Health Continuum
This expert-led webinar will identify the significance of collagen over a woman’s lifespan, identifying its functionality in pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause. Physiologic and metabolic roles of endogenous collagen and its inherent amino acids will be elucidated, addressing collagen metabolism in younger life and collagen-related health concerns emerging in later years. Conditions closely associated with collagen declines will be highlighted: joint pain, bone loss and impaired skin integrity. The benefits of collagen supplementation, from a clinical and molecular perspective will be explored via a review of emerging pre-clinical and clinical research focusing on these areas.
