10th Annual Metabolic Mastery Conference: Navigating Clinical Advances in the Microbiome – Mitochondria-Brain Connection

The evolution of medicine has been characterized by the development of an organ-specific approach to disease diagnosis and treatment. Although this approach has been very successful in the management of acute disease entities, it has had limited success in managing complex chronic disorders that cross organ-specific boundaries to involve the alteration in multiple organ-related functions.

This is exemplified with the family of immuno-metabolic disorders that include metabolism-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), chronic hepato-biliary endotoxicity, metabolic syndrome, obesity, chronic cognitive impairment, neuropsychological disorders including depression and anxiety, post-viral fatigue-related syndromes, and inflammaging.

This Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute 10 th annual spring conference co-hosted with Ortho Molecular Products will focus on the emerging understanding of the systems biology origin of these conditions that develop from alterations in the immuno-metabolic communication among the intestinal microbiome, liver, nervous, and immune super system and its relationship to modifiable dietary, environmental, lifestyle, and behavioral factors. This conference will connect the recent progress in understanding the connection of disturbances in this supersystem with specific lifestyle and dietary interventions that are focused on managing the root causes of these system-related disorders.

Emphasis on the immuno-metabolic connection of the intestinal microbiome to the mucosal immune system, hepatobiliary function, and cognitive function represent a major unique feature of this conference.

The faculty of this conference is composed of recognized leaders in both the development of the science underlying the discoveries in this systems biology approach to this supersystem along with key opinion leading clinicians who have successfully put to practice the application of these concepts in patient management.

The participants in the previous nine years of experience with this annual conference have raved as to its value in refining their clinical skills. The world-class faculty for this 10 th year of the conference has both the right focus on the conference and the world-class faculty to deliver important news-to-use that will improve clinical skills and create a sense of community among the participants in the battle against chronic disease.
